STEMPOINT East grant – successful proposals announced!

The STEMPOINT East grant fund was set up in 2021 to enable schools, colleges and youth groups to get some extra funding (up to £500) to run special STEM-related projects this academic year.  We are delighted to announce that the successful groups were:

 

Attleborough Academy, Norfolk – Bronze Awards for Years 8 & 9 students on a special STEM project

Field of Joy Home Educated Group, Norfolk – funding for an outdoor learning study space to do STEM activities

Wootton Upper School, Bedfordshire – Mars rover kits for a Space project

Fairlands Primary School, Hertfordshire – STEM Lego Club to support language and communication

First Attleborough Scouts, Norfolk – STEM day with equipment including hydraulic construction kits

Highfield Ely Academy, Cambs – STEM computer lunch club for SEN pupils

Sir Bobby Robson School, Suffolk – School kitchen and wildlife garden materials

Martin Bacon Academy, Cambs – kits to encourage engineering skills and support enterprise club

King’s Langley School, Herts – equipment to support a Lego STEM club

The Vale Academy, Beds – Environmental community project

 

All the projects will use STEM Ambassadors to support their activities and provide role models for the pupils.
